Ep 69 The REAL dirt of our 25 year marriage PART 2

The REAL dirt of our 25 year marriage PART 2. This is a deep topic that really needs to be discussed in our society. I want to take you through the next 5 core values and principles we based our marriage off of our 25 years together.

Derek and I always dreamed that when we had our 25th anniversary we would always go on an exotic trip, renew our vows, have a big party…. Well, the 25th is just like the rest of our marriage. Life is NEVER going to be the way you envisioned it.

YOU have time to take ownership

I encourage you to come up with your own 10 core values and principles to lay as a foundation for your marriage, business, faith, relationships, and life. Feel free to take some or all of ours.

Ep 68 The REAL dirt of our 25 year marriage PART 1

The REAL dirt of our 25 years of marriage has taken… well 25 years. This episode has taken all those years of research and truly living by trial and error.

I looked up the recent marriage “numbers.” The average marriage only lasts 8.8 years. Over 50% of all marriages will end in divorce. In fact, divorce is over a $50 billion per year industry in the USA alone.

I have become so passionate about the topic of marriage. In fact when I was in my early 20s, I was asked this question:

“What is the purpose of your life and what is the legacy you want to leave behind?”

I immediately knew I wanted to encourage positive marriage for the rest of my life. What I have compiled with my husband is the top 10 things we have focused on in the past 25 years. We are not perfect. We have fought and been distant at times. But we have had to fight daily for this marriage and I want this to be nuggets for anyone. Even if you are single, divorced, or widowed, this is for you.

These very principles that we have based our marriage on, is also what we’ve based our life on. It’s how we’ve found true success in our business. I don’t care what your background is or what your past is. What I do care about is where you're headed and to help give you guidance to live your own version of an Ultra Rare Live. It's why I do this podcast.

Ep. 67 The difference between a 40k a year and a millionaire mindset

I listened to a short video of Barbra Corcoran who is one of the entrepreneurs on shark tank. She was being interviewed on the mindset difference of someone making 40k a year versus 8 million a year. Let me tell you, it was POWERFUL.

In this episode of Ultra Rare Life, I wanted to dissect what she said. I want to share some nuggets that I learned and get you thinking. Because what is the difference?

Ep. 66 Finding Your Purpose

Finding your purpose is a topic that I have been hearing so many people discuss lately. So I thought this would be a great podcast on helping you find YOUR purpose.

So many people right now are searching for their purpose that fuels them. I have talked with many who have been in a career ranging from 5 to 10 to 20 years and it has now totally changed from 2020. They don’t love what they do anymore. They don’t have purpose in their jobs anymore. They have lost their sense of purpose in life.

One thing that I have realized in finding purpose is it is not a one time deal. This is not something where you find your purpose and game over, the rest of your life is just going to fall into place.

Finding your purpose is an ongoing process throughout your lifetime. Life is going to constantly challenge you and sometimes you will accomplish the purpose you set out for, but then it will be time to set a new one. Or the vision that you had for your purpose isn’t the vision God has for you.

Tune in to this episode of Ultra Rare Life as I cover the 6 steps to finding your purpose. What does that look like and what to expect when you’re finding your purpose.

Ep 65 Leaders are momentum makers

Leadership is something that I have been a student of for years. But I’ve recently discovered that there is something that comes before and that's this: Leaders are momentum makers.

What the heck does that mean?

In this episode of Ultra Rare Life, I go over exactly what it means for leaders to be momentum makers. Learn to dream again, JUMP, and trust God to be the author of your story.

Ep. 64 Your past does not define you with Casey Wortman

Do not let your past define you. Casey shares her story of losing her father at a young age, alcoholism, drug abuse, and prison and how she surrendered her life to the Lord. Let her story inspire you and give you hope, that no matter what your past looks like, it does not define you.

In this episode of Ultra Rare Life Casey hopes that her story can show other people that it doesn’t matter where you’ve been or where you've come from. Whatever God has planned for you life is going to happen, if you allow him to be the head of your life. Follow him

Ep. 63 Is knowledge or wisdom more important?

I have found myself having multiple conversations with different people, from different ages groups, and from different walks of life all on the same topic: is knowledge or wisdom more important?

In this episode of Ultra Rare Life, I ask you the exact same question. Let’s deep dive together on this topic, that I have become so passionate about and have googled and dug deep into what scripture says about it.

What I have found, may intrigue you as much as it has me. I have spoken to well educated MD’s and PHD’s, dug into what some of the wealthiest and most famous people have done, and what I have seen in my coaching career talking to people just like me and you.

Ep. 62 Confidence = success

Confidence = success. People lack confidence in themselves and I’m telling you people with confidence have a different tone in their voice. They have a different body language and a completely different mindset. They don’t care what others think. From the way they stand, to the way that they speak, their confidence is evident.

How did they get to be so confident? Because they've cracked the code of building a stronger self esteem and confidence. That’s what I want to help you do today.

In this episode of Ultra Rare Life I want to deep dive with you through 10 things that you can do to build your self confidence. It’s a topic I coach people on and that I have learned myself over the hardships of life. This is one you will not want to miss out on.

Get your EDGE here:

Ep. 61 How to be your best YOU

How many times are you asked… “Hey! How would you like to be your best you?”

It’s not something you probably don’t get asked a lot, but I’m going to ask you that today. The reality is, there is usually something that is holding a person back from being the best version of themself.

In this episode, I’m going to help identify what is holding you back and not allowing you to be the best version of you.

I really narrowed it down to three things that hold most people back, myself included:

Lack of confidence and low self esteem.

Deep dive with me to work through and what helps YOU to become your best YOU!

Ep. 60 Turning Failures into Success

Everyone loves to talk about success, but have you noticed people don’t like to talk about their failures as much? I’ll be sharing a story of turning failures into success and how you can do the same.

In this episode of Ultra Rare Life I tell the story of a dear couple that had a dream to own their own business. A true rags to riches, but the hardships that came with it, expressed to be devastating in the given moment. Failures are the reason to get back up. Want to know the secrets to success?

Ep. 59 Change Your Thoughts Change Your World

So many people are craving for change. My guest today talks about when you change your thoughts, you change your world. “If you are struggling or grieving, let the grief ride with you, but never drive.” - Elizabeth Benton

In this episode of Ultra Rare Life, my guest speaker is the beautiful Elizabeth Benton. She is an extremely successful entrepreneur, one of my business partners, built her own platform and podcast “Primal Potential,” has inspired millions, author of “Chasing Cupcakes,”  recently released her “Change Makers Journal” (Link below if you would like a copy), and is currently working on her second book.

2020 was a challenging year for her and her husband. Losing her newborn baby, Dagney, in early spring and how 2020 turned out to be a year she would have never predicted.

During this hardship in life, Elizabeth talks about mindset. Never make the struggle smaller or have the mindset of “just get through this.” Her approach has been to let the grief be as big and ugly as it needs to be. “The grief can ride with me, but can’t drive” she states.

Tune in as she really dives into how your thoughts can change your world.

Ep. 58 How to Achieve Mental Wellness with our body language

Body language affects our mental health. In this episode of Ultra Rare Life, I have leading expert, Ann Washburn, share her expertise on body language and the different ways of communication: words, tone, and body gesture. She explains how this knowledge can really help YOU and the people you love deal with stress and anxiety.

There has been a huge disconnect in our communication, in 2020. Social distancing, all our communication is over text or video, lack of seeing people in person, due to the disconnect it erodes our Mental Health and wellbeing.

Deep dive with my dear friend and business partner as she gives you tips and tools on what you can do for YOU.

A little bit about Ann: She formerly was a mechanical engineer, worked in flight simulation and explosives, and a member of the National Speakers Association. Has given over 400,000 presentations, one of them being on TedTalk where she received over 1.6 million views on body language and subconscious programming. She has also been on over 40 television and radio appearances and the list goes on!

Ep. 57 How Kids & Teens Mental Health is REALLY being Impacted w Dr. Rouse

Ep. 57 How Kids & Teens Mental Health is REALLY being Impacted w Dr. Rouse

With this past year, a lot of children and teens are struggling with anxiety and their overall mental health. In this episode of Ultra Rare Life, I had the honor of bringing Dr. Kevin Rouse back on for another episode. Dr. Rouse has 30 years experience as an M.D. pediatrician at a private practice in Jonesboro Arkansas. He has his B.S. in biology from Lyon College, his M.D. from the University of Arkansas, and completed combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency from the University of Arkansas and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

It is prime time for flu and cold season, but Dr. Rouse is NOT seeing sick kids, he is seeing kids struggling with anxiety, depression and their overall mental health. He covers what to look for in our kids and teens for anxiety, stress, and depression. He talks solutions for our kids and sheds hope and light for our kids and for us as parents.

Ep. 55 Soar like an eagle

“Your husband is an eagle.” I was sitting in the hospital waiting room while my husband was in his seventh brain surgery in California, while my dad was back home having surgery that threatened his life that same morning, when a beautiful petite Italian woman told me this.

In this episode I tell the story of this total stranger and my newfound love of eagles. Their strength, loyalty, and ability to soar over the fiercest of storms.

Ep. 54 It’s time for courage

It’s officially 2021. In this episode of Ultra Rare Life, I finally share a story that has been very hard for me to share most of my adult life. I have found my courage to share the darkness and the hardships.

At age 17 I got pregnant. The world was telling me what I should or shouldn’t do, but I went against what the world was telling me and it was the best decision I ever made. It took courage and it was extremely hard.

8 years ago my husband got sick and I found myself in the same position of the world telling me what I should or shouldn’t do. It was the same pattern of hard. My hands were tied and there was no easy way out.

Tune in as I go into why I chose the paths I did. We all have hardships and sometimes the road less traveled, though it may seem impossible at times, is the best road. I hope this episode helps remind and give you the ESSENTIAL steps of developing courage because I think we could all use that in our lives right now. May this give you hope and some light at the end of the tunnel.

Ep. 53 2020 Christmas Giveaway

The month of December, 8 years ago, was when our lives were flipped upside down. In this episode of Ultra Rare Life, I share a little bit of how these past 8 years got started. The hardships and loss my family and husband had to endure. Faith was what allowed up to press on.

It is the time of year to give and receive. Receive. At our biggest low in life when we were living out of a camper, my husband was extremely sick, he wasn’t able to work, I was putting my time into taking care of him, and wasn’t able to provide for the family, we had to receive.

Between my husband and I, before he got sick, we had always been able to provide and all of a sudden we couldn’t. We were barely getting by. All we could do was receive and it was humiliating. But we were humbled.

Tune in as I share people who we barely knew, opened up their hearts to us. It is something our family will never forget. In fact, this December, 8 years later, we are paying it forward. I am doing a giveaway for anyone who has really been struggling this year with income loss. If it us you, or someone you know make sure to head on over to my Instagram to check it out!
